Tom Kiser started Professional Supply, Inc in 1979.  His mission sounded simple, but the challenge was staggering.  "Change the way industrial decision makers think about HVAC and open their eyes to the gross neglect of energy efficiency in industry".

It took several years of strudy, design and testing, for "Global Control" to be developed.  Seven processes were patented and are used in the operation of Global Control, who's basic premise is "Energy needed should be equal to or greater than energy purchased".  The results seen by the customer are:

• Significant energy maintenance savings
• Dramatically improved plant environment.
• Reductions in CO2 and NO2 emissions
• Improved plant comfort, leading to improved productivity

Over the years there have been several accomplishments achived with Global Control Concepts:

• Ford Motor Sandusky Plant, 1.6 million dollar annual energy savings using a Global Control Concept that utilizes Air Rotation and building pressurization concepts.
• Ford Nashville Glass Plant, 3.9 million dollar annual energy savings using a Global Control Concept the utilizes direct contact hot water heating.
• Several other customer have applied these and other Global Control concepts with similar results.

The biggest achievement to date of the Global Control Concepts has been the performance contract that has been developed with Ford Motor Company.  This concept allows Professional Supply to fund the installation and maintenance of the installations with the savings derived paying for the installations and reducing energy costs.  This concept has been implemented at 8 assembly plants with staggering results:

• Energy reduction of 3.2 million MMBTU's
• 257,000 tons of CO2 emissions eliminated
• 124 tons of NO2 emissions eliminated
• Addtional energy savings of $36Million
